Amanah (أمانة) - Trust, Honesty, Duty
At Amanah Foundation, we believe that charity is not just an act of kindness, it is a duty given to us by Allah. The foundation was born out of these two powerful verses in Surah Al-Fajr:
(89:17) كَلَّا بَلْ لَا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ
“No! But you do
not honor the orphan.”
(89:18) وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينَ
“And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.”
We strive to embody these teachings through our charitable initiatives by organising efforts to distribute food, clothing, books, and essential supplies to those in need.
Whether through cooking, packing, or distributing, every action we take is a chance to fulfill our responsibility to support the less fortunate and honor those in need.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The believer's shade on the Day of Judgment will be his charity." (Tirmidhi)
By working together, we can ensure that those around us feel the warmth of a helping hand and the sincerity of a giving heart. Whether by donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the message, every action is a step toward fulfilling the duty placed upon us.
Our mission is to serve those in need with sincerity, excellence, and compassion, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them) once did.
